Sierra Marr Residence

This is an addition of a second story master bedroom, bathroom and modest interior remodeling to the existing residence. It exploits the panoramic views from the site. The addition was conceived of two interlocking yet separate forms. The separation allowed for the articulation of the different functions. The existing 1950's residence was structurally untouched by the new addition. This approach was determined after a serious evaluation of city codes, the site conditions and cost. I felt it was important to acknowledge the character of the existing residence.
